ALPHA’s 2009 Action Plan

The action plan has been amended considerably with the acquisition of five schemes (205 dwellings) in North Wirral from Servite Homes, a national organisation that have pulled out of the region.

The developments acquired include:

• Alpha Court, Wallasey
• Gerard Corr House, Wallasey
• Laurence Deacon Court, Birkenhead
• Edel Quinn House, Upton, Wirral
• St Columba’s Close, Wallasey

ALPHA is continuing to review its services to its residents and the local community via the following:

• Following the guidance from the Department for Communities and Local Government, (DC&LG) the Tenants Services Agency (TSA), the Royal Chartered Institute of Housing (RCIH), Centre of Sheltered Housing Studies (CSHS) and the local authorities to ensure an improved service provision.
• Seeking partners to extend luncheon club facility in North Wirral.
• The extension of ALPHACARE into North Wirral.
• Pursuing opportunities to extend into Cheshire.
